Home on wheels and all the feels...

Hi there! Just another business owner in a saturated market full of consumers—so why put money and effort into something that could possibly fail? Like many other small business owners, my husband and I have dreams to create personal items that evoke meaning and spread love and kindness. We have our own family to support as well and long for the days where we're working together and spending more time as a family instead of working apart and missing precious time together. 

We bought our first home (home on wheels that is) in 2023 and started traveling for my husband's job. He's in the union as, hands down, one of the most talented sheet metal mechanics. I could be biased, but I'm supposed to be, right? We started traveling together as young newlyweds and as glamorous as it may sound, we faced a lot of new obstacles and circumstances we couldn't have for-seen in our dreams of selling everything and hitting the road. 

I soon realized as a dedicated and supportive wife that my husband would be working all the time. I mean, 60+ hours every week Monday through Saturday and some Sundays. I was spending a lot more time alone than with my best friend. 

I started to grow weary of the plan and with my husband's guidance, we launched LoCo Engravings. I might've been 6 months pregnant at the time, but I was ready to bring two babies into this world! LoCo is not just another business endeavor for us. It has much more meaning than that. It's a challenge in personal growth. It's a new first-time-mom balancing business start-up and growing a baby. It's a husband working long hours to support his family. It's a family wanting to do for others and create meaningful memories and art pieces for other families. It's growing something from a tiny seed and hoping to share its fruit with others. There's so much more to LoCo Engravings than a business/consumer exchange. It's a catalyst to create opportunities for those in our community and eventually to use its power for good.
